No que diz respeito à viagem, quero-vos transmitir o enorme prazer que foi poder acompanhar lado a lado um par de baleias (mãe e filha) e poder depois disso ainda conseguirmos partilhar com tres grandes grupos de golfinhos em zonas distintas dos belos momentos que nos proporcionam. Great experience!
We spotted three groups of dolphins on 10th of February, 2010. We swam with one of them while they were hunting! Thanks for your professionalism, your kind hospitality and the scientific and respectful approach to the nature!
We felt very sorry when we saw the pictures of the devastation caused by the weather catastrophe. Hopefully you are all fine and your company and the boats were not harmed too much!

It was incredible. After seeing bottlenose dolphins I swam with spotted dolphins.
Later during the tour we saw a Bryde whale next to the boat. Amazing !
I recommend this experience which was very exiting.

Una muy buena experiencia. Vimos una ballena y delfines de varios tipos. El trato muy bueno. El conductor de la lancha sabía español y nos explicaba todo. Los delfines nos saltaban por nuestro lado, a apenas unos metros. Varios turistas se bañaron aunque el agua estaba muy fría. Lo recomendamos encarecidamente.

We went out yesterday on the first trip of the day. Completely unforgettable experience - don't miss it! Pay the extra and swim with the dolphins - it is well worthwhile. We were able to get in the water three times, each time seeing the spotted dolphines swimming around us. At our first sighting it was a bit rough, but the crew did their best - "Quickly - enter the water" - which we did - no time to get acclimatised and remember how to use the mask and snorkel provided but we managed fine and it was great to be able to watch the dolphins under water. After that we moved about 8km west and had another two goes - much calmer and swam with possibly 25 dolphins - just amazing. We will definitely do it again next time we are in Madeira! Thanks for all your professionalism. You are a great team.

Wow - what an incredible experience!
We were in Madeira in june 2009 and were informed about Rota dos cetáceos by our hotel. We decided to go - and haven't regret it one second! To watch the dolphins swim longside the boat and watch them hunt and attack fishes was just the biggest adrenalinerush!
We went all the way and swam with the dolphins, and I'm telling you - that is one of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced. To watch how they came shooting up from the deep, and to listen to their beautiful song... I haven't even got the words to describe it.
If you have the chance - do it! You won't regret!

We went swimming with dolphins last week and it was one of the best thing EVER. We managed to swim with Common Dolphins and Spotted Dolphins. I had a wonderful time with rota-dos-cetaceos! Swimming with atlantic spotted dolphins was fantanstic. I was already swimming with dolphins in Kaikura, Newzealand - with Orcas in Norway and with humpback whales in Silverbank, Dominican Republic. So I know what I am talking about. The staff is skilled, friendly and helpful. We also saw a spermwhale. 100% recommended - I tried all the other "whale and dolphin watching" companies in Madeira! I will come back in August for some more swims!

We were swimming with you on the 25th of may and it was a unique experience. It was incredible. We would like to do it again. Special thanks to the captain :-) - he knows why.....

On our trip we saw lots of bottlenose and then common dolphins. When I was in the water the dolphins swam around and ahead. With my head underwater I could hear them too, as well as seeing their pretty patterns. Breathtaking.

Speechless, great, wow all these words en more of that. We saw two kinds of dolphins en two kinds of whales and one sea turtle. It was great, especially the sounds under water and when we are visiting Madeira again, we're gonna book another trip with Rota des Cetaceos. Very nice trip en good crew who where also very pleased when seeing these mammals!

My trip with you on september 17 was a most wonderful experience;maybe you remember I often saw the dolphins before you saw them!I will never forget these beautiful animals.It is unbelievable but when I was waiting for my plane,I saw the dolphins jumping in the neighborhood of the airport.Even I saw them from out of the plane when we took of the island.
Nobody believed me when I told this to other passengers.
When I come back to Madeira I'm quite sure I will visit you again.

Le 30 octobre 2008, j'ai eu la chance de pouvoir voir 3 types de dauphins dont 2 groupes de très très près puisque j'ai nagé à environ 1m50 d'eux!!!!Et puis j'ai aussi pu observer un groupe de baleine! We came on one of your trips to see the whales and dolphins on the 13
September 2008. We would like to express what a wonderful experience we
had. It has always been an ambition of ours to see them in their own
environment and what we saw filled us with immense pleasure. It was
great to see the little baby dolphins jumping out of the water and being
so close to them all in your boats. The whales were brilliant as well.

Did the Desertes Island trip 27 September 08 (World Tourismus Day) . Did not see the Monk seals, but did see Bottlenose Dolphins plus Bryde's/Tropical Whale and a Blainville Beaked Whale. Landing on Deserte Grande was a bonus.

Also did the swimming with the dolphins trip at lunchtime on Fri 3 October 08. Initially saw bottlenose dolphins and a Bryde's /Tropical Whale with pup. Then moved SW where we saw a probable Sei Whale and swam with a group of 10 spotted dolphins. I had previously scuba dived with a couple of 'harmless' sharks in Jamaica, so wanted to do the dolphin swim also. Excellent, water very warm and a beautiful clear azure blue ocean water colour. Very professional, friendly and helpful group of guys. Thanks very much for the experience.

We went out twice with Rota Dos Cetaceos and both experiences were amazing!
We saw numerous spotted dolphins, which we were able to swim with, and also bottlenose dolphins.
We saw several sperm whales and pilot whales together, which we were told is quite rare. At one point, a baby sperm whales broke off from the group and swam right over to us and under the boat, its giant mother chased after it and she too swam under our boat. It was a magical experience seeing all these creatures up close and I would go back to Madeira just to do it again!
I'd definitely suggest anyone going on the trip try to take a waterproof camera to use when swimming with the dolphins, you may see a lot of dolphins at the surface but there are loads more when you're in the water and you look down. If possible, take a video camera, you'll get some incredable footage!
I would definitely recommend a trip with Rota Dos Cetaceos to anyone, they were fabulous.

it was a great experience, we have seen 2 kinds of dolphins and 2 kinds of whales. Swimming with the dolphins was the most beautifull thing we did in our holiday. The dolphins and whales are threated with respect by the people of this compagny and they had also a lot of fun by seeing these animals, the biologist told us a lot about these animals and the "captain" did not mind the time schedule punctual so we could spend some more time seeing the pilot whales. This trip and this compagny is really recommanded for any one who will see and swim with dolphins and whales.

At tuesday sept 22th. we joined the 12.30 trip.
Within half an hour we saw 2 whales starting a deep dive.
After that we saw several sperm whales.

Later we changed our spot-location.
From this point we saw lots of sperm- whales. The appeared all around the boat.
Even the crew was surprised with the amount of whales we saw. And they appeared so close, we almost could touch them. It seemed we didn't had enough time to continue watching.

It was a very impressive experience. The crew was very enthusiastic.

Conciliar isto não só com a observação de baleias e golfinhos, mas ainda com a possibilidade de estar dentro de água com eles, sem sentir que estamos a invadir claramente o seu território, é o grande mérito da rota-dos-cetáceos. It was my first experience with dolphins and it was the best. It's a serious company with biologists on the boat.. So the dolphins are beautiful and very much. I swam with dolphins and they came under me, i heart their "IIIIIII". So if you come in Madeira you must be try to watch and swim with dolphins, it's a fanstatic experience.

It has always been a dream of mine to swim with dolphins - never imagined it would be in their natural environment - a perfect end to a perfect holiday. I will never forget it. This trip was the best what we are experienced. Guides are professionals and have a lot of information about dolphins and whales. This trip is not only a tourist allurement, but professional introduction of part ocean water of Madeira. A viagem correu lindamente e podemos nadar com os golfinhos..com segurança pois
havia 1 biologa que comandava as operações e, acho que é verdadeiramente uma atitude de profissionalismo,poi vemos outras empresas onde não existe respeito pelos animais marinhos e onde os mesmos são abordados de qualquer maneira e feitio e até muitas vezes ficam assustados.

wnet out on June 18th 2008 we saw spotted and bottle nosed Dolphins . and 3 whales one with calf. all 7 of us swam and had a great trip thank you. ps sorry for smashing the face mask.

High octane swimming with dolphins...
After 3 trips in one week, I can definitely say that this is an excellent whale-watching and dolphin swimming experience! We saw common and spotted dolphins, pilot whales with calves and Bryde's whales with calves. The highlight was being towed alongside the boat, with a snorkel and divemask watching the dolphins ride the bow wave underwater. The dolphins form large groups here - especially the spotted dolphins. So "swimming with dolphins" isn't just watching them swim off at high speed once you get in the water. Neither is it anything like a dolphin petting zoo. Highly recommended!! - 26 May - 2 June 2008.

I've arrived back in Romania, but I want back to Madeira!

I had such a wonderful experience out there watching and trying to catch dolphins that I wouldn't have left...
Also, seeing a whale, it was... Soo rare... And soo beautiful...

I want back! And I hope I'll get there again...

I felt realy lucky 'cause we found dolphins and whales (the group that was the day after us didn't find any!) that... That... I just can't rezist to jump up and dance!

When I'll be old enough, I want to be a marine biologist, like Joana. She knows soo many stuff...

Also, Pedro, he is a realy good captain and a very nice person.

My only regret is that I couldn't touch or get closer to the dolphins... But their safety is more important...

It would be a nice idea to build in Madeira a Dolphinsrium (is this the right name?) where people could alos touch dolphins and get even closer to them...

But, after all I have seen, I will recomend all of my friends and all of those who read this to go visit Madeira and search for the dolphins!

I enjoy so much the trip to Madeira ! I started tell everybody I know the story about this beautiful island and about the great feeling of swimming with dolphins. Now, I think you'll have a big problem - what if everyone is coming to Madeira and is asking for Pedro Mendes Gomes - i tell them the truth - he is the best captain and he have a lot of other qualities (but you don't have the time to listen(;..) - So, good luck, dear Pedro and see you soon !!!...
I change my top Favourite places&people and i put Madeira and Pedro on the first place !

Your website is really great, especially the video and the sounds. That´s cool, now I can just watch the video, when I start to miss the ocean too much.

I am sorry we didnt get a chance to ride on your splendid new boat. It looks fast and

it was fantastic-- saw loads of dolphins. John swam with them twice, One came within 3 feet of him and
just looked at him with its head on one side.
